Hi TherE

Megan and Cameron curated a wedding that was meant to be a grand adventure. These two traveled from Wisconsin to say their vows in Olympic National Park. From the start, their story had a touch of magic—set up by Megan’s best friend (and Cameron’s coworker), Claire, who also officiated their ceremony.

Their elopement was filled with unique touches, from Cameron’s nod to his Scottish roots—complete with a kilt and handfasting cords—to a whirlwind of hikes, beach sunsets, and a sunrise summit that left us all in awe (and completely exhausted).

Hoh Rainforest Hall of Mosses Trail

The day started at a cozy little Airbnb in Forks, where Megan and Cameron got ready before heading into the heart of the Hoh Rainforest. If you’ve never been, picture towering trees draped in moss, filtered light streaming through the canopy, and a stillness. It was the perfect place for a stroll before their beach ceremony.

Ruby Beach Ceremony

We made our way down to Ruby Beach. We spent some time wandering around while they built their driftwood wedding arch. Then, Claire stood with them officiating the ceremony, which she had a direct hand in making possible. Megan and Cameron exchanged their vows in beautifully crafted vow books, and their handfasting ceremony tied together their stories—past, present, and future.

Sunset Portraits & Dinner at Kalaloch Lodge

We spent some time on Ruby Beach for sunset portraits. It was a quiet, intimate way for them to soak in the first moments of being married. From there, they joined their family for dinner at Kalaloch Lodge, where they shared a warm meal and reflected on the day. It felt like the perfect balance—an adventure-filled elopement with meaningful time with their closest people.

“We absolutely loved working with Hannah! She helped us so much with our planning, especially with us being from out of state. The pictures we have gotten back are absolutely amazing! She was fun to be around, and we highly recommend her work!” -Megan & Cameron

The Mount Storm King Sunrise Hike

Now, this part of the story is wild. We all slept about three hours before waking up in the pitch dark to hike Mount Storm King for sunrise. If you’ve hiked it, you know—it’s no joke. Steep inclines, loose dirt, and those infamous ropes you have to haul yourself up. And to top it off, it was hot. Like, unexpectedly sweaty for early September. But we powered through, and when we finally reached the summit, we knew it was worth every step.

The sun broke over the mountains, lighting up the entire valley below, and it was one of those moments that made you forget your legs were on fire. True to form, Cameron hiked down in his kilt like a legend.

Ending Their Olympic National Park Wedding at Lake Crescent

After the climb, we headed to Lake Crescent to cool off, dipping our feet into the water and letting the exhaustion settle in a good way. It was the perfect, quiet ending to a nonstop, adventure-packed Olympic National Park wedding.

Megan and Cameron created a whole experience. That’s the beauty of elopements. They can be whatever you want them to be. Hikes at sunrise, vows in the rainforest, quiet moments by the water—it’s about crafting something that feels true to you.

And if this sounds like your kind of wedding day, let’s make it happen.
