Hi TherE

Some places feel like home; for Julia, this cabin she spent her childhood going to was exactly that—a place filled with childhood memories, quiet mornings in the woods, and familiarity. So, when it came time to marry Eric, there was no better place to say “I do.” Their elopement was a perfect mix of nostalgia, adventure, and love, with a cozy ceremony, thoughtful details, and a golden-hour chase to Mt. Hood that almost didn’t happen thanks to some classic PNW weather.

A Cabin Ceremony & Private Vows in the Forest

Julia and Eric kept their elopement intimate, gathering their closest friends and family at the cabin for a deeply personal ceremony. After the ceremony, they snuck away into the mossy forest, just the two of them, to exchange vows in private. There’s something about being surrounded by towering trees, the earth beneath your feet, and nothing but the sound of the wind in the branches that makes a moment like this feel even more sacred. It was quiet, intentional, and so full of love.

Handmade Touches & A Cozy Dinner

One of the sweetest details of the day was the embroidered cloth napkins Julia made for every guest at their dinner table. Their dinner was simple in the best way—a warm, intimate meal shared with their favorite people.

Sunset at White River Sno Park—Or So We Hoped

If you’ve ever been in the mountains in early fall, you know the weather can have a lot of opinions. It had been raining off and on all day, with clouds rolling in thick enough to make us wonder if we’d get a view of Mount Hood at all. But as we made our way up to White River Sno Park, the sky started to shift. Just as the sun was dipping, the clouds parted enough to give us the mountain backdrop we’d hoped for. This was a moment worth waiting for.

A Simple & Meaningful Mt. Hood Elopement Adventure

Julia and Eric’s elopement wasn’t long or extravagant, which made it perfect. It was full of love, connection, and a deep sense of home. And really, what more could you ask for?

If you’re thinking about your own intimate elopement, let’s dream it up together—rain or shine.
