Katrina and TJ’s elopement at Artist Point was the kind of day that reminds you why intimate weddings are so special. It was a sunny afternoon at the end of September, with crisp mountain air and some of the clearest views you can ask for in the North Cascades. They chose to celebrate with their closest family, keeping the day meaningful and relaxed from start to finish.

Getting Ready at Their Airbnb
The day started slow and easy at their Airbnb. Windows open. Soft light pouring in. Laughter echoing down the hallway. Skagit Bridal Hair and Makeup were there to help Katrina look and feel amazing for her wedding day! Katrina slipped into her dress while family helped with the final touches. TJ got ready in another room, calm but clearly excited.
Before we headed up the mountain, they shared a first look outside the Airbnb. It was quiet and personal. Just the two of them taking a breath together before the adventure really began. Those first look moments always set the tone. And this one felt steady, joyful, and full of anticipation.

Ceremony at Artist Point
We made our way up to Artist Point, one of the most iconic locations in Washington for an intimate wedding day. Late September is such an amazing time here. The crowds thin out, the air is cooler, and the mountain views are often crystal clear.
With sweeping views of Mount Baker and Mount Shuksan behind them, Katrina and TJ stood surrounded by their family and said their vows. It was simple. Heartfelt. Full of happy tears.
There’s something about an elopement at Artist Point that feels both grand and intimate at the same time. The mountains are massive, but when you’re standing there holding hands, it feels like your own private world.
After the ceremony, we took family photos with the peaks stretching out in every direction. Everyone was relaxed. No rush. Just soaking it all in.

Sunset Portraits
As the sun started to dip lower, family headed back down the mountain and it became just the three of us exploring the trails to Huntoon Point. Golden light wrapped around them as they walked along the ridgeline. The sky turned soft and warm. September sunsets up here are unreal.
This part of the day is always my favorite. No timeline pressure. No audience. Just space to move, laugh, and be together. Katrina and TJ held hands, spun in the light, and took their time watching the sun disappear behind the mountains. It was peaceful and so full of joy.
